Virtual Talk: Cybersecurity for Operational Technology
Andy Murray leads this session exploring the unique challenges of securing Operational Technology (OT), the systems that power physical infrastructure like power plants, water systems, and manufacturing lines. Unlike traditional IT, OT cybersecurity prioritizes Availability, Integrity, and Confidentiality to ensure real-world operations remain safe and reliable. Attendees will gain insight into key risks, how OT security differs from IT, and the skills needed to pursue a career in this fast-growing field.

Where’d My Money Go? Cybersecurity & You
College students’ clean credit history, constant internet use, and active social media presence make them prime targets for cybercrime. In this session, Lynn Martin, Cybersecurity Expert at Bank of America, will share practical strategies for protecting personal information, recognizing scams, and securing accounts. Attendees will leave with tools and knowledge to safeguard both their online presence and their finances in today’s digital world.

Path of the ISO
Panel Discussion — Paths and Perspectives from Information Security Officers. Join Information Security Officers from leading Massachusetts universities for a candid discussion on careers in cybersecurity leadership. Panelists Eric Boughton (Fitchburg State University), David Marion (Bridgewater State University), and Max Pacheco (ĚÇĐÄ´«Ă˝) will share their journeys to becoming ISOs, offer advice for those starting out in the field, and discuss the challenges that keep them up at night. The session will be moderated by Michael Lyons, CIO at ĚÇĐÄ´«Ă˝.
