Sterre Boerkamp joined Student Development in the summer of 2025. Originally from Amsterdam, she moved to Boston in 2023 after gaining her master’s degree in education in the Netherlands at the Amsterdam University for the Arts. She previously worked as a nonprofit programs manager at Urbano Project, connecting youth to artist and social justice issues that matter to them. She also worked in secondary special education in the Netherlands for over 10 years, as an art teacher and mentor for neurodiverse students. As Student Development Specialist, Sterre can be found at the Student Development front desk where she connects students to resources that can help them thrive. She loves to help students problem-solve, and to contribute to projects that promote diverse students’ access to quality education.
