WELLESLEY HILLS, Mass. (August 18, 2025) — ���Ĵ�ý computer science student Mahanaz Jatoi has been elected to serve as the College’s 2025-2026 Student Trustee.

“MassBay has been so much more than a college for me — it has been a place where I’ve discovered my voice, grown as a leader, and built a true sense of belonging,” said Jatoi. “Some of my favorite MassBay moments have been representing the College at off-campus events, speaking with new students about MassBay, and connecting with people from around the world. It will be an honor to serve as the MassBay Student Trustee, presenting the student voice on the MassBay Board of Trustees.”

Jatoi, an international student from Pakistan now living in Southborough, MA, chose MassBay for its “welcoming community, affordability, and strong transfer pathways.” She has been deeply involved in campus life, serving as an orientation leader before being promoted to Student Coordinator of Orientation, as a senator for the Student Government Association, and as the founder and president of both the Wellness Club and the Computer Science Club.

In addition, she works as a peer mentor in the Academic Achievement Center and recently completed an internship with MassBay’s Career Services Department. She has also represented her home country of Pakistan at the MassBay International Club’s International Lunch Hour.

Jatoi’s dedication has earned her recognition on both the Dean’s List and President’s List for her academic excellence. Last spring, she was honored with the MassBay Student Engagement Impact Award for her outstanding contributions to the campus community.

She is scheduled to graduate from MassBay in May 2026 with her associate degree in computer science. After graduation, she plans to transfer to a four-year university to continue her studies and pursue a career in cybersecurity, with aspirations of working in software development or cybersecurity to create innovative technologies and safeguard them from cyber threats.
