To have a web site, you need a quality host

Hosting is based on your site’s space and bandwidth needs …

A web page is a file.

When you/your designer builds a web page, it is saved as a file on a computer. In order to make the web page file “live” -visible on the internet- you need to rent some space on a server that specializes in making your files “live” on the internet by “hosting” your web page for you.

Basically, Teed Hosting provides a way for people to access your web site through the internet.

What does Teed Hosting do?

I’ve been in e-biz sooo long that hearing someone ask what a web site host is actually shocks me —for an e-second :))

Here’s the pizza place analogy I use to explain web sites to *regular* people …

If you were going to open up a 24 hour pizza place you would need a biz name … like, BOB’S PIZZA
You would need a product … PIZZA PIES
You would need pizza makers … MARIO & LUIGI
You need to rent space for your pizza shop … PIZZA SHOP

BOB’S PIZZA = bobspizza.com; your domain name
PIZZA PIES = your web site content
MARIO & LUIGI = the web masters that make your site
PIZZA SHOP = TeedHosting web site hosting

… so a web site host is an e-landlord :)

Hope that makes things a bit clearer,
—Kimberly Teed
