Hope the summer season is spoiling you,

If at first you don’t succeed, failure may be your style.
-Quentin Crisp –have you read anything about Quentin?
… interesting fellow …

Currently working on Trenton 2 Philly (friend T2P on myspace) … I did this site before, but it was called GO River Line, it was a problem child … this describes the difficulties perfectly …

As you climb the ladder of success, be sure it’s leaning against the right building.
-Quoted in P.S. I Love You, compiled by H. Jackson Brown, Jr.

I was leaning on the wrong *tree* … sigh! … long story, I’m sure I’ll tell it some day.

Hope you’re having a great weekend!

Planned to …

Monday, February 18th, 2008

Planned to get photos edited ‘n posted … but signed-on to discover the message board program - phpbb - needs to be updated …

When you get these notices, always try to update right away … I know it stinks … though with message boards, the changes are usually after some hacker issue … so if you wait, you risk being hacked …

Well, the photos were put aside until (hopefully) tomorrow, and the board updates are coming along …

Have a maaavelous evening, chat at ya tomorrow :)

Friend me on MySpace

Tah-do’s

Tuesday, February 5th, 2008

* Grocery shop for the week
* Go through papers on my desk
Stop mailing me stuff for a few weeks! Please + thank you!
* Take down the Christmas theme on Trenton2Philly’s myspace page
Yikes! I forgot …
* Start Teed Hosting’s new design
I made a mistake when I made Teed Hosting. I allowed myself to follow the standard look for biz web sites -bad Kimmie! I’ve never been proud of its design. I don’t love it, and you must LOVE your product. It functions great, but it’s too blahhh to be a Teed site, ya know.
* Take a nap
Power naps are the best!
* Post photos from the January 12th event
* Run ball with da boy :)
* Post blog program for Charles Clear, a new design client
* Accept myspace friend requests, and post a thank you for the request comments

* Relax in front of the TV with handsome hubby …

What’s on your tah-do list today?

Hope you accomplish lots,
—Kimberly Teed

When I was a Boy Scout, we played a game when new Scouts joined the troop. We lined up chairs in a pattern, creating an obstacle course through which the new Scouts, blindfolded, were supposed to maneuver. The Scoutmaster gave them a few moments to study the pattern before our adventure began. But as soon as the victims were blindfolded, the rest of us quietly removed the chairs. I think life is like this game. Perhaps we spend our lives avoiding obstacles we have created for ourselves and in reality exist only in our minds. We’re afraid to apply for that job, take violin lessons, learn a foreign language, call an old friend, write our Congressman - whatever it is that we would really like to do but don’t because of personal obstacles. Don’t avoid any chairs until you run smack into one. And if you do, at least you’ll have a place to sit down. –Pierce Vincent Eckhart

Pizza place analogy …

Thursday, January 17th, 2008

What does Teed Hosting do?

I’ve been in e-biz sooo long that hearing someone ask what a web site host is actually shocks me —for an e-second :))

Here’s the pizza place analogy I use to explain web sites to *regular* people …

If you were going to open up a 24 hour pizza place you would need a biz name … like, BOB’S PIZZA
You would need a product … PIZZA PIES
You would need pizza makers … MARIO & LUIGI
You need to rent space for your pizza shop … PIZZA SHOP

BOB’S PIZZA = bobspizza.com; your domain name
PIZZA PIES = your web site content
MARIO & LUIGI = the web masters that make your site
PIZZA SHOP = TeedHosting web site hosting

… so a web site host is an e-landlord :)

Hope that makes things a bit clearer,
—Kimberly Teed

Family Takes Precedence

Thursday, December 27th, 2007

I will not be posting for a few days, probably about two weeks … ish.

My family needs my full attention for a bit, and that’s what they will get … my full attention.

After all, wife + mom duties are always my #1 goal/tah-do! <3

Wishing you a maaavelous New Year celebration
… and a successful Twenty o’Eight!

People plan, God laughs :)

Saturday, December 22nd, 2007

I hope when you started reading The World of E you weren’t expecting some gal with all the answers, who never missed a deadline, and was always 100% … but saawwrry to disappoint –there’s no big red ‘S’ on this chest!

I planned to post an e-Teed item every day, and I planned to un-generic this site … but I didn’t post yesterday and this place is still dull … sigh.

I came home from my side-gig and was tired, that my-bones-are-too-tired-to-hold-my-body-verticle tired … so before doing some last minute Christmas shopping, and my evening tah-do’s, I decided to run to the General Store for one of their yummy salads and read & relax while eating …

I only made it to Rite Aid … bought a new spiral notebook (more on the purpose of my spiral notebooks at another time), soap (Dove), vitamins (the drink’able mega kind) … and headed home …

Took a shower, aspirin, and was in a Kimmie-coma for 11 hours!

Still feel groggy, and I’m at the side-gig again … too much work, and no fun time make Kimberly a dull gal … groan, with a groan’esque haha

Wish me luck in getting e-work & Xmas-errands completed this evening!

Have a great last Saturday before Christmas shopping day :))

Faaa La Laaa La Laaaaaaa

Thursday, December 20th, 2007

Teed Radio promotes indie talent, so for Christmas I wanted to play a loop of independant Christmas music … but! this has been the hardest search … I keep starting the search and giving up … seems no one but people with record labels makes Christmas music … well, I have a couple more days to put something together … wish me luck!

Feel free to recommend someone … or if you’re an indie talent, feel free to record something merry or gay!

Have a maaavelous one,
